We are Jeff & Denise Johns owners of Lonesome Valley Farms. Ours is a family owned and operated farm since 1963. It is located 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. At the home farm, Jeff & Denise along with their children, Jeff Jr & Alicia have raised registered American Saddlebred show horses, Haflinger Draft horses, dairy heifers and beef cattle. We also raise crops on the farm, hay, grain, pumpkins, pumpkins, decorative gourds & Indian corn. Farming is an awesome and rewarding lifestyle. Yes, it is a tremendous amount of work, but a healthy and fulfilling way of life. There is nothing to compare to a day on a farm.

Through the events that we host, our mission is to share a little piece of the country experience with others who love the outdoors & appreciate country life.

Lonesome Valley Farms has hosted the "Haunted Hayrides" for 20 years. The hayrides have become one of the most talked about haunted events in the area. The hayride takes you on a wagon ride you won't soon forget, complete with a "Killer Combine" attack and of course Freddy, Jason and all the special effects. You are then dropped off at the haunted walk to experience the thrill of fear up close, with no where to escape. Just when you think you're safe the paths take you to the  Haunted Corn Maze, paths that twist & turn through the rows of corn, leaving you susceptible to whatever lurks around each corner. Beware---You never know what's in the cornfield!

In 2000, we created the "Get Lost Corn Maze". We cut a giant puzzle into one of our corn fields and opened it to the public. Wow, what an awesome adventure! Not only did people come out and get lost, but they left wandering just how they got out. It's a great way to spend a fall evening. Hopefully you will leave with a little better understanding of how agriculture is an important part of ALL of our lives.

New in 2003, we added the "Ole-Fashioned Country Hayride."  It is a peaceful,  non-haunted hayride for those that want to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the country. Kick back & just take it all in. What a fun way to make memories for the young & to stir up memories for the "young at heart"..

At each of our events we have concessions, fire sites and a gift shop complete with  gourds, pumpkins, Indian corn, more pumpkins, corn stalks, and everything you need for your fall decorating needs. We have gifts, some crafts and glow stuff. A little something for everyone.

New in 2004 we created "The Pumpkin Sling"! It's awesome!!! You can sling a pumpkin at the "Pumpkin Celebrity" (chevy celebrity that is) & try to break the side window out of it. If you break the window you win the cash in the window.  U break it-U take it. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

We have something for everyone to enjoy. Many people believe that farming is a lot of work, it is, but obviously it can be a lot of fun too! Come visit us at Lonesome Valley Farms and take memories with you that last a lifetime. You can contact the farm at 724-423-4290.
